Our beautiful friends Anna and Simon had their world turned upside down when their little boy was diagnosed with leukaemia. There were months of fear, treatments, and waiting rooms—but also extraordinary care, compassion and skill from the people on the frontline. Thanks to extraordinary care from the teams across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, he’s now on the other side of treatment — and we are beyond grateful.
I’m walking with them to say thank you—and to help other families who will hear the words no parent ever wants to hear.
I’m walking to honour their journey and to support Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation (SCHF), the charity that helps fund lifesaving equipment, specialist care, vital research, and support programs across Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick; The Children’s Hospital at Westmead; Bear Cottage; NETS; and Kids Research.
