I am walking for kids with cancer on Sunday 23 March 2025 for Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation (SCHF). Funds raised from Walk for Kids with Cancer will go directly to the frontline of children’s healthcare across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, including the Kids Cancer Centre at Randwick and the Cancer Centre for Children at Westmead.

Together we can help find answers to rare diseases like childhood cancer, faster ways to diagnose, support clinical trials, help build clinical and patient family-centered spaces in hospitals, and create positive patient experiences for kids and their families.

No child should ever go through cancer but those who do deserve our all.

(the title just has a nice alliteration, ok?)

Hi there! I'm Wayne, or Wayno if you like. I'll just keep this blog simple. I like walking, my favourite route is Redfern to Chatswood, but I only had time to do it only three times so far. I've decided to join SCHF's "Walk for Kids with Cancer" in 2025 because I do want to turn my walking hobby into something that benefits society. After seeing a few of my friends join in, I decided to also partake in this and hopefully enjoy it while at it.

On a more personal note, I do believe every single living being deserves a chance to enjoy the joy of life, and fighting cancer, I believe, is one notable way we can help these kids enjoy life to the maximum.
