I am walking 30km for kids with cancer
On Sunday 29 March 2026, I’ll be walking 30km in support of kids with cancer as part of Walk for Kids with Cancer for Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation.
This walk is deeply personal to me. I’m walking for myself and for the incredible friends I met at Sydney Children's Hospital. Friendships that were formed during one of the hardest times in our lives. In the middle of so much uncertainty, we found connection, laughter, and strength in each other. That support meant everything.
I’m walking 30km to give back to the places and people who helped carry us through. I’m walking so that future kids and teenagers facing cancer can feel the same support, care and positivity that surrounded me. No hospital experience is ever easy, but with the right funding, it can be filled with compassion, innovation, and hope.
Funds raised from Walk for Kids with Cancer will go directly to the frontline of children’s healthcare across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, including the Kids Cancer Centre at Randwick and the Cancer Centre for Children at Westmead. Together we can help find answers to rare diseases like childhood cancer, faster ways to diagnose, support clinical trials, help build clinical and patient family-centered spaces in hospitals, and create positive patient experiences for kids and their families.
No child should ever have to go through cancer. But those who do, deserve every possible chance, and an experience surrounded by the highest standard of care.
